Security
Password, two-factor authentication, and linked sign-ins.
Open the profile menu and choose Security. Three panels cover your account's safety.
Password
Change your password, or set one for the first time if you signed up with Google. Setting a password never disconnects Google; it simply gives you a second way in.
Two-factor authentication
Two-factor authentication (2FA) asks for a code from an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or any TOTP app) each time you sign in.
- Open the Two-Factor Authentication panel and choose to enable it.
- Scan the QR code with your authenticator app.
- Enter the code the app shows to confirm.
- Save your recovery codes somewhere safe. They are the only way in if you lose your phone.
The panel shows how many recovery codes you have left and warns when you are down to the last few; regenerate a fresh set any time. 2FA is strongly recommended for anyone with admin or billing permissions.
External logins
Link your Google account to sign in with one click, or unlink it if you prefer password-only. In the iPhone app you can also use Sign in with Apple; it connects to your existing account when your Apple ID email matches the email on your Church Planner account, so avoid Apple's Hide My Email option the first time.
